Sign-up Information
Registration Period will be open from 1/16/12 to 3/16/12. Three ways to sign up:

Registration Fees
  • Freehold Township Residents - $70
  • Non-Township Residents: - $105

    Clinic Format

  • BOYS Eligibility: 1st,2nd, and 3rd Graders will be in clinic mode learning fundamental skills.
    League Format
  • BOYS Eligibility: 4th,5th,6th, 7th, and 8th Graders, split into two divisions.
  • GIRLS Eligibility: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders, split into two divisions depending on number of players signing up.

  • All players must attend a League Introduction session to be scheduled.
  • The games will be played under NJSIAA rules with at least one official per game.
  • Each Boys team will play a minimum of 6 games, weather permitting.
  • Girls teams will play intra-squad games (depending on sign-ups) and likely be playing other REC programs. Games with other REC programs are subject to opponent availability, but the objective is for at least 4 games.

    Equipment Required: (Players are required to supply of their own equipment)
    BOYS Grades 2, 3, and beginner 4
        - Lacrosse or hockey helmet
        - mouth guard
        - lacrosse gloves, athletic supporter with cup
        - lacrosse stick
        - lacrosse shoulder pads (if childs want to participate in game play)
        - lacrosse arm pads (if childs want to participate in game play)
    BOYS: Grades 4 through 8
        - NOCSAE certified LACROSSE helmet
        - mouth guard
        - lacrosse shoulder pads
        - lacrosse arm pads,
        - lacrosse gloves,
        - athletic supporter with cup,
        - lacrosse stick

    GIRLS: Grades 4 through 8
        - girls lacrosse stick
        - mouth guard
        - goggles for eye protection

  • The league will supply a goalie chest protector, neck guard, and goalie stick.

    When

  • The League will start in early March (shooting for the second week) and end by 5/29/08.
  • The current plan is to play most games on Saturdays and Sundays between 9:00am to 2:00pm, but a couple games may be scheduled on weeknight to allow getting in all the games. This may change depending on availability of fields.
  • Practice will be on Saturdays, with some optional team practices on week nights >li> Make-up games will be on the Monday nights following any missed game on the weekend.
  • Final schedules will be posted after the registration is complete.

    Where

  • All Boys games will be played at Michael J. Tighe Park on Georgia Road.
  • Girls games will vary depending on opponent
  • The fields are at the entrance to the park.
