Central Jersey Lacrosse is sponsoring a Girls Lacrosse Tournament Team this spring for players for a U15 team (8th graders and under).

When is the Season? The season will run from March until early June. The final schedule will depend somewhat on the tournaments scheduled.

Who's Eligible: 8th graders and below who are interested in playing in the program. However, we encourage players to play on their home town team is that town has a program.

When are practices and the tournaments? The plan is to have 2 practices a week, two tournaments and a couple of home and away games. Practice plan is two during the week, likely Tuesday and Thursday night. Players are encouraged to join the Freehold Township REC program for an additional practice and scrimmages, but this is not mandatory. The preliminary schedule will be posted on the web site.

Where are practices? Practices will be at Freehold Township High School in March and Tighe Park in April and May.

How many tournaments will there be? We intend to schedule three tournaments. The team may also get to play games with other travel teams in the area as part of the Freehold Township REC program.

How many people will be on the team? The coaches will determine the final number of players, but rosters for travel teams range between 16 to 20 players.

Who are the coaches? Current coaches are Steve and Kathy Shinners. More coaches are needed! Please help out!!

What will it cost? The estimated fee/player for each team will vary depending on uniforms provided and tournaments played. The cost per player is currently estimated to be about $180. Players must sign-up to be members of US Lacrosse for insurance purposes. This is an additional cost of about $30/player. Players must also sign up for the Freehold Township REC program.
