2019 CJLAX BOYS TRAVEL TEAMS
Central Jersey Lacrosse (CJLAX) is sponsoring Boys Lacrosse Travel Teams this spring for players in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades, exact number of teams dependent on the number of qualified participants.

When is the Season? The season will run from March until early June. The final schedule will depend somewhat on the game and tournament scheduling.

Who's Eligible: Teams will be divided into 3 age categories:
- U11: 4th Graders and below (CJLAX Wolfpack U11) (All Travel Team Players MUST be participants in a township sponsored Spring Rec program)
- U13: 6th Graders and below (CJLAX Wolfpack U13)
- U15: 8th graders and below (CJLAX Wolfpack U15)
- All Travel Teams are open to players in joining the program but we encourage players to play in their hometown if that town has a team.
- All 3rd and 4th grader players who join the U11 CJLAX Travel Team must also sign up for the Freehold Township REC program (registration information can be found on the CJLAX home page.
- ALL TRAVEL TEAM PLAYERS MUST BE MEMBERS OF US LACROSSE for the full duration of the Season. Sign up information can be found at: US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP SIGN-UP or RENEWAL

When are practices and games? The plan is to have 2 practices a week. The time slots available for travel team practices and games will be subject to game schedules with other travel teams. The schedule for practices will be mostly on Tuesday and Thursday evening and games will mostly be Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons, dependent on opponents. A preliminary schedule (under development) is available or will be available shortly on the CJLAX website (www.cjlax.com) .

Where are practices? Practices will be at Freehold Township High School in March and at MJ Tighe Park in April.

How many games will there be? We will scheduled between 8 and 12 games with other travel teams in the area. We will schedule a minimum of 2 tournaments for the U13 and U15 teams to play in. The U11 team does not play in tournaments.

How many people will be on the team? The coaches will determine the final number of players, but rosters for travel teams range between 18 to 22 players on each team.

Who are the coaches? Each team will have a head coach and suppporting coaches. Currently assigned Head Coaches are Victor Franco for CJLAX Wolfpack U11, James O'Connor for CJLAX Wolfpack U13 and Victor Rivera for CJLAX Wolfpack U15.

What will it cost? The estimated fee/player for each team will vary depending on uniforms provided, game schedule and tournaments played. The preliminary view of Player fees is posted on the CJLAX website. Players must also sign-up to be members of US Lacrosse for insurance purposes. This is an additional cost of about $35/player.
